Amsterdam

Amsterdam is everything you ever heard about it, and much more. It is a fairly liberal city, very pleasant for bicycle drivers (at the expense of car drivers). The price paid for its liberty over the years on sex, drugs and rock & roll is the bad rep for the city with people that have never visited Amsterdam, or parents of youngsters that announce to visit Amsterdam. There is so much more to see in Amsterdam. Check the tourist information. We just mention the following:

Muziekgebouw aan het IJ (at the Ij riverside, close to KILO), Pakhuis de Zwijger (next to KILO), the Rijksmuseum (Rembrandt paintings), the Van Gogh Museum (van Gogh paintings), the Stedelijk Museum (contemporary art), the Concertgebouw (classical music), the Schouwburg (plays), the Stopera (opera), Paradiso (rock, latin, house etc.), Melkweg (all kinds of hot music), the negen straatjes (for strolling), the PC Hooftstraat (for reaching the limit on your creditcard) and the hot new modern district at the Ij river side (Veemkade), where KILO is located.

There you will find top hot spots such as Jamie Oliver's restaurant/project Fifteen, Club Panama, Creative Center Pakhuis de Zwijger, Art Deco Hotel, the head office of Greenpeace NL, the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam, and Multinational Dutch businesses such as Ahold and Philips.
